Molasses

Molasses is a by-product of sugar production. At first sight, it doesn't have anything in common with sugar: it is a dark brown liquid, that looks like syrup and has an unusual smell. Molasses is usually used as feed for livestock, for production of yeast, lemon acid or alcohol as well as for other production purposes.
